The 2026 Season - It's Getting Serious
The real headline for 2026 is the competitive structure RCDrift.io has introduced, and it's a proper step up for the hobby. The format runs through multiple stages, Feeder Rounds held at venues across the country, culminating in a Main Event that brings the top 64 ranked drivers together for a double elimination showdown.
The 2026 Main Event is set for 25th-26th April from 8pm-8pm, NEC Birmingham. Cash prizes, sponsor prizes, and the title of RCDrift.io 2026 Champion are all on the table. It's the kind of event that puts real stakes behind those Thursday night practice sessions on our home tracks.
To qualify as a UK driver, you need to have competed in at least one feeder round and hold a ranking within the driver ratings system. That means every competitive drift night, every battle run, and every judged lap actually matters now. The hobby has a legitimate ladder to climb.
